Livy Rosenzweig has produced more than any other player in the history of the Loyola women’s lacrosse program.

She broke the school’s all-time scoring record last weekend, passing her former teammate, Hannah Powers, en route to a Patriot League championship.

As a senior, she could cap her career with a run in the NCAA tournament this month, but she’s not done yet.

Rosenzweig intends to pursue a fifth year at Loyola and play lacrosse in 2022, she told host Sheehan Stanwick Burch on “The Stick Drop” podcast Thursday morning. She said that she will return to school to get her Master’s in Clinical Professional Counseling in hopes of becoming a therapist.

The girl who used to watch Hannah Schmidt and Annie Thomas in high school and later serve as a mentee with Powers has now passed them on the all-time list — and she’ll create even more distance during the 2022 season.

“Hannah was someone I really looked up to and it was so much fun playing with her,” Rosenzweig said. “Watching her break the record was so exciting. I just remember watching all of those girls and thinking they were so cool. The fact that I’m technically one of them now is really exciting.”

Rosenzweig’s sister, Gabby, recently made a similar decision in regard to her fifth year of college lacrosse. However, Gabby Rosenzweig chose to transfer from Penn to Duke to play out the 2021 season.

Gabby Rosenzweig also broke her former program’s all-time scoring record, pouring in 247 points while at Penn. This season, she’s scored 22 goals and added 29 assists to help Duke to the NCAA tournament.
