Abby Bosco's Transfer to Maryland and Why She Plays on 'The Stick Drop'

Abby Bosco has had a whirlwind last two years of college lacrosse.

A star defender at Penn, Bosco had to sit out a second straight year in 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. This fall, she decided to transfer to Maryland, where she joined a group of talented newcomers looking to continue a winning tradition in College Park.

Fast forward to May, and Bosco is right where she always dreamed she would be — fighting for a national championship. Bosco, a graduate captain, shared her lacrosse story and how she keeps the memory of her late father, who died on 9/11, with her as she plays.
