The USA Lacrosse Players of the Week recognize the most outstanding individual performances in high school boys’ lacrosse in each of the five regions — Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, South, Midwest and West — outlined in our high school coverage.
NORTHEAST
Tyler Fox, Fairfield Prep (Conn.)
With Fairfield Prep (Conn.) trailing Chaminade (N.Y.) 8-5, the Jesuits needed someone to step up if they were to leave Gold Star Stadium with a win. Tyler Fox did just that, sparking the offense in a 13-12 victory over the Flyers on Saturday. The Boston U commit had four goals and one assist — all after halftime — as the Jesuits outscored the hosts 6-1 in the third quarter en route to a one-goal win. That came on the heels of a 14-8 victory over Farmingdale (N.Y.) in the midweek, with Fox scoring a pair of goals in the home win.
“Tyler had a huge impact on the second half of the game against Chaminade. He really asserted himself on the offensive end with four goals and one assist in the second half,” Fairfield Prep coach Graham Niemi said. “He also scored six goals in our 14-5 win over Wilton.”

MID-ATLANTIC
Ryan DiRocco, Haverford (Pa.)
The senior attackman scored three goals in a 10-6 win over Malvern (Pa.) in a big showdown for the Fords’ Inter-Ac season opener. He followed up that hat trick with a three-assist performance in a 9-3 win over St. Ignatius (Calif.), one of the top teams out of the West Region. DiRocco ended the week with four goals and two assists in a 15-4 win over Penn Charter (Pa.). DiRocco has 15 goals and 18 assists while helping Haverford to a 7-2 start. He will play for Army next year.

SOUTH
Mitchell Campbell, Lake Mary (Fla.)
It doesn’t hurt that Michell Campbell has the likes of Caden Harshbarger to co-pilot the Lake Mary offense, and he’s putting up big numbers himself. To start playoff action last week, Campbell had five goals and three assists over Hagerty. He followed that performance with another five-goal effort against Oviedo. Campbell, a Lindenwood University commit, will be among a strong junior cast expected to return to Lake Mary next year.

MIDWEST
Gabe Sorichetti, Culver Academy (Ind.)
Taking on one of the toughest opponents in the region, Western Reserve Academy (Ohio), Sorichetti rose to the occasion with five goals and two assists. That put him at the 75-point mark (49 goals and 26 assists) after just 13 games, a span in which Sorichetti and the Eagles have proven themselves to be among the nation’s very best.

WEST
Thomas White, Mater Dei (Calif.)
The junior scored the game-winner in overtime to lift Mater Dei to a 9-8 win over De La Salle (Calif.) and finished with a team-high four goals and two ground balls. He also led the attack in a 13-6 win over Bellevue (Wash.) last week, contributing four goals and an assist. Mater Dei is 14-1 and riding a nine-game winning streak.
