Whittier College is sunsetting its lacrosse program in 2023, but the legacy will remain (Photo courtesy of Whittier College)

Good morning. Here's the latest from the lacrosse world:

1. The legacy of Whittier men’s lacrosse.

Whittier men’s lacrosse never won a Division III national championship. And, unless the Poets win it all this spring, they never will. Whittier announced the 2023 season would be the last for men’s lacrosse. But a pair of teams from the aughts were two of the most trailblazing in Division III history. Take a look back at the lasting impact of the Golden State program.

2. The lacrosse world records you didn’t know existed.

This weekend, many lacrosse families will head to the backyard for their annual Turkey Day scrimmage. A father-son duo got started early when they passed the ball back and forth 40 times in one minute. Next stop (reportedly): The Guinness Book of World Records. It got us wondering about other lacrosse world records. Kenny DeJohn did some digging. You can thank him Monday after you impress your family and friends with your knowledge over Thanksgiving dinner.

3. Thompson brothers reunited.

Get ready, Internet. Jeremy Thompson is joining his highlight-reel brothers, Lyle and Miles, after a trade between Panther City and the Georgia Swarm. Jeremy has tallied four goals and 13 assists this season for Panther City. Panther City will receive a third-round pick in the 2023 entry draft.
