Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. USA Lacrosse opened its first training event for Sixes yesterday in Sparks (Md.). More than 40 of the nation’s top men’s and women’s lacrosse players will take part in the training camp, which will include a public exhibition today during the USA Lacrosse Youth Nationals in Frederica, Del.

More info on the training event and the Sixes discipline here.

2. Meg Decker was named Xavier’s inaugural head women’s lacrosse coach.

No stranger to when it comes to building collegiate women’s lacrosse programs, Decker started the program at Hartford. She did the same at Virginia Commonwealth University as an assistant coach and was a student-athlete on the inaugural women’s lacrosse team at the United States Naval Academy.

Full release on the hiring here.

3. This week, USA Lacrosse will highlight its Regional High School Players of the Year.

First up yesterday was the Northeast region. Andrew McAdorey, the St. Anthony’s Duke-bound midfielder who was also the USA Lacrosse National Player of the Year, and Stanford-bound Maddigan Miller, who might be the best player to ever compete for the Bayport-Blue Point (N.Y.) program, earned the distinction.
