Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. We released the Nike/USA Lacrosse preseason NCAA Division I rankings yesterday and both reigning champs came out at No. 1.

Boston College, fueled by record-setting Charlotte North and star goalie Rachel Hall, edged out North Carolina for the No. 1 spot on the women’s side.

Virginia, looking for a third straight title, has to replace goalie Alex Rode, but with faceoff specialist Petey LaSalla, breakout star Connor Shellenberger and a suffocating defense, got the nod over Maryland for the top spot in the men's rankings.

2. The National Lacrosse League had a light schedule on the books for this weekend, but has announced that all three games have been postponed. The league aims to return to its regular schedule on the weekend of Jan. 7-8, 2022.
