Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1Forty-four of the nation’s top high school boys’ lacrosse players have been named to the 2021 USA Select U16 and U18 teams.

They players were selected following a national combine at USA Lacrosse headquarters earlier this month that included more than 130 candidates showcasing their skills on Tierney Field.

The USA Select teams will compete against teams from Ontario and the Iroquois Nation during the Brogden Cup in mid-October. The event is run in conjunction with the Fall Classic, which features the U.S. men’s and women’s national teams.

See the rosters here.

2. Pitt women’s lacrosse is officially here.

After years of hype, the Panthers are ready to embark on their first season of Division I lacrosse this spring. Head coach Emily Boissonneault held her first fall practice on Monday after using the past few years to build Pittsburgh from scratch.

Armed with a wealth of talented transfers, how will Pitt fair in its first season in the ACC?

3. Daria Lucchesi has always had an entrepreneurial mind.

The James Madison graduate and senior on last season’s Dukes team was starting businesses even when she was little. From selling snacks to neighbors to the classic lemonade stand, Lucchesi has always been a self-starter.

She’s now diving headfirst into her startup, Pro Theory, which aims to bridge the gap between those who need instruction and those who don’t have access to it in their area.

More on Lucchesi here.
