Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Canada’s rosters for Fall Classic have been revealed.

The star-studded men’s roster features a bevy of professional players, including Cornell alums Jeff Teat and Jonathan Donville — otherwise known as the last two No. 1 overall picks in the NLL draft. Teat was also the PLL’s Rookie of the Year this summer.

The women’s roster features an international lacrosse legend in Dana Dobbie and a few exciting younger players, like Aurora Cordingley.

The Fall Classic takes place this weekend at USA Lacrosse HQ in Sparks, Md.

2. Believe it or not, Sam Apuzzo is as bashful as she is bold on the lacrosse field.

Apuzzo, the 2018 Tewaaraton Award winner, has worked hard to learn how to come out of her shell. She’s jumpy and afraid of loud noises to this day, but Apuzzo tells USA Lacrosse Magazine’s Matt Hamilton that she’s a lot more comfortable on the field.

Apuzzo, competing for a spot on the U.S. women’s national team, can next be seen at Fall Classic.

3. Another new program is coming to the NCAA.

The College of Saint Benedict is adding a women’s lacrosse program in the spring of 2023, making it the fourth Division III women’s program in Minnesota.

4. George Huguely V has been denied an appeal for early release.

Huguely, the former Virginia men’s lacrosse player convicted of second-degree murder in the killing of Yeardley Love, was denied early release from his 25-year sentence by a federal appellate court.
