Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. #BestofLax is back, and you have the opportunity to help pick the winners.

The first category up is Best Team Breakthrough, for the team that finally got it done.

There’s still a few hours left on the poll, so make sure to cast your vote. Also stay tuned throughout the month as we rollout the rest of the categories recapping the year that lacrosse came back in 2021.

2. The National Lacrosse League is coming to your TV.

The league announced today that ESPN will televise an exclusive slate of 10 regular season games on its linear networks during the 2021-22 season, beginning on Saturday, Dec. 11 with San Diego playing at Colorado at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPNEWS. Every regular season game will also be distributed on ESPN+.

3. Providence College men's lacrosse partnered with Team Impact recently, with head coach Chris Gabrielli welcoming the Friars’ newest teammate, Nolan, on Nov. 30.

Team Impact is the only U.S. nonprofit that tackles the emotional trauma and social isolation experienced by children facing serious illnesses and disabilities by matching them with a college athletic team.

"Our program is dedicated to lending a supportive hand in our community whenever possible, especially when it comes to kids in need in our area,” Gabrielli said.

4. Chris Mattes, the New England Patriots’ Director of Player Operations & Engagement will represent the 4 The Future Foundation on Monday Night Football as a part of the NFL’s “My Cause, My Cleats” Program.

Lacrosse star Lyle Thompson designed the elaborate display on the Nike Pegasus shoes honoring the Every Child Matters movement that brings light to the atrocities committed at residential schools while also recognizing and honoring those who lost their lives. The goal of the 4 The Future Foundation is to share the roots and values of lacrosse as well as to embrace Native American traditions with Native and underserved youth.

An All-American faceoff specialist at Rutgers, Mattes previously served on the lacrosse coaching staff at the University of Maryland.
