Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. John Desko bids farewell to Syracuse men’s lacrosse.

Desko, who served on the Syracuse staff for 46 years, announced his retirement in a press conference held Tuesday on campus. Former Orangemen legend Gary Gait, who led the women’s program for 14 seasons, will take the helm of his alma mater in place of Desko.

“He stressed that he’d like me around the team,” Desko said of Gait. “Obviously not in a coaching way, but he thinks it would be healthy for me to stay in contact with the guys. And I’d be happy to come to practice and point out what everybody’s doing wrong.”
