Utah Valley jumped to No. 1 after defeating No. 5 Denver in the RMWLL’s championship game.

League championship tournaments helped produce a new team at the top of WCLA Division Division II Top 20, with Utah Valley ascending to No. 1 after winning the Rocky Mountain Women’s Lacrosse League championship on Sunday.

Utah Valley (14-1) defeated No. 5 Denver, 16-8, in the RMWLL’s championship game.

No. 2 New Hampshire Club jumped two spots this week after claiming the Northeast Women’s Lacrosse League title. UNH recorded victories over both No. 3 Vermont Club and No. 4 Providence to secure its fourth NWLL crown. All three of these NWLL members are likely to receive bids to next month’s WCLA Division II Championship Tournament.

Selections and seedings for the 12-team WCLA national tournament, May 9-12 in Virginia Beach, will be announced later today.

Note: The committee intentionally ranked only 18 teams this week.
