Sydney Watson scored six times — including the overtime winner — in an upset of UMass on Sunday.

Sydney Watson, who was recently named to the All-Time Women’s Black Lacrosse Team as part of our celebration of Black History Month with Blaxers Blog, proved that she belongs on such a prestigious list with her performance over the past week.

In two games, the senior scored 10 goals on 19 shots while also contributing 24 draw controls. In an upset win over then-No. 16 UMass on Sunday, she scored six times — including the winning strike in overtime.

For her efforts, Watson is the US Lacrosse Division I Women’s Player of the Week.
