Lauren Figura scored 13 goals in three A-10 tournament games, leading SJU to a title.

The first (and only) team to have earned a bid to the NCAA tournament thus far is Saint Joseph’s, and Lauren Figura is a major reason why the Hawks’ Cinderella run continues.

Figura scored 13 goals with two assists in the Hawks’ three Atlantic 10 tournament games, leading her team to upsets of second-seeded Richmond and top-seeded UMass. In capturing the first A-10 championship in program history, the Hawks are dancing — and Figura is the USA Lacrosse Magazine Division I Women’s Player of the Week.

Figura had three goals and two assists in a first-round win over George Washington before scoring five goals against both Richmond and UMass. She even scored the game-winning goal in all three contests.

The Hawks await Sunday’s Selection Show to see who they’ll match up against in the NCAA tournament.
