Charlie Rudy missed the latter portion of 2021 due to injury, and the Colorado attacker is making up for lost time this spring.

The Buffaloes, off to a sneaky 5-0 start and up to No. 19 in the Nike/USA Lacrosse Division I Women’s Top 20, posted two wins last week — including a ranked win over former No. 16 Vanderbilt — and Rudy was at the heart of it all. The senior had three goals and two assists in an 18-11 win over Vanderbilt and followed with five goals in a 17-13 win over UC Davis.

For her efforts, Rudy is the USA Lacrosse Magazine Division I Women’s Player of the Week.

Rudy was a prolific scorer in 13 games last season, leading Colorado with 45 goals. Her three assists this season are already one off her career high of four, which she did in both 2020 and 2021.
