Baiocco had 12 goals and four assists this weekend, including a clutch eight-goal game against USC.

Stanford is the Pac-12’s regular season champion for the first time in program history, and the Cardinal have Ali Baiocco to thank for it.

The senior from Harding, N.J., scored eight goals — including the tying and winning goals in the final 2:07 — to keep Stanford’s record perfect with a thrilling 16-15 win over USC on Sunday. She tied her own program record with the eight goals, and she also had an assist.

That was her second stellar performance on the weekend. On Friday against upstart Arizona State, Baiocco had four goals and three assists in a 22-21 win.

Baiocco is the US Lacrosse Division I Women’s Player of the Week for her clutch play.

No. 16 Stanford is the lone undefeated team in the competitive Pac-12. Baiocco has 38 goals and 20 assists on the season.
