Rutgers' Kieran Mullins Named Warrior/USL Player of Week

Rutgers nearly became the fourth team ranked in the preseason top 15 to suffer a loss to an unranked foe. But thanks largely to Kieran Mullins, the Scarlet Knights avoided the upset bug with a game-ending seven-goal run to defeat St. John’s 19-15 on Saturday.

Mullins, a junior attackman, played the role of closer, factoring in five of the seven goals and finishing with a game-high nine points on six goals and three assists to earn Warrior/US Lacrosse Player of the Week honors.

The Warrior/US Lacrosse Player of the Week, selected by US Lacrosse Magazine staff and contributors, recognizes the top performers in Division I men’s lacrosse throughout the season.
