Penn’s Alex Condon singlehandedly outscored Johns Hopkins in a top 20 Division I women’s lacrosse matchup Saturday, scoring eight goals in the Quakers’ 10-7 victory to earn Epoch/US Lacrosse Player of the Week honors.
Condon, who also earned a player of the week nod last spring, was efficient. She scored eight goals on nine shots. Condon scored all five goals in staking Penn to a 5-2 first-half lead it would not relinquish. She even scored while face-guarded.
“Alex just has a knack for the net,” Penn coach Karin Corbett told the Daily Pennsylvanian. “She’s one of the best shooters I’ve ever seen.”
