Duke senior attackman Justin Guterding is on fire.

He compiled 27 points in the Blue Devils’ first three games, earning him Warrior/US Lacrosse Player of the Week honors.

Duke now sits undefeated at 3-0, topping Air Force 18-4, High Point 18-6 and Jacksonville 19-8.

After struggling against the Falcons in a one-goal season-opening loss in 2017, the Blue Devils started 2018 hot thanks to Guterding, having a hand in their first three goals for a first quarter shutout of Air Force. He finished with 10 points on three goals and seven assists, the latter marking his career best.

With five goals and three assists against High Point, Guterding became the sixth Duke player to record 100 goals and 100 assists in his career.

He then pushed his career total to 158 goals and 107 assists with four goals and five assists against Jacksonville.
