Having a hand in 12 goals in Cornell’s 15-11 win over Ivy League foe Harvard, sophomore Jeff Teat earns Warrior/US Lacrosse Player of the Week honors.

Teat set a career high with eight assists and matched a personal best with his 12 points.

His assist total sat one shy of the school record and moved him into eighth on the program’s all-time career list with 75. His point total was also two off the school record. He now owns three of the top eight single-game scoring totals in program history.

Harvard got on the board first, but Teat led the ensuing four-goal run with one goal and two assists.

After the Crimson knotted it at four at the 7:11 mark in the second quarter, Teat again responded with one assist and one goal to shift the tide back in the Big Red’s favor.

Whenever Harvard scored, it seemed Teat was ready to orchestrate a response.

When Harvard scored again with under five to play in the first half, Teat then did, too, 31 seconds later. The Crimson got one more goal – and Teat assisted for another Big Red score to close out the half.

The third quarter 3-0 shutout of Harvard saw two more assists from Teat.

He then opened the fourth quarter with a goal and assisted two more times to hand Cornell a six-goal lead.

Teat added three ground balls in the victory.
