Pat Kavanagh tied his own program record with 10 points in an 18-11 win over Syracuse.

Last season, Pat Kavanagh became must-see TV on the lacrosse field. Wherever Kavanagh goes, a highlight or two (or three) often follow.

On Sunday, Kavanagh fueled Notre Dame to an 18-11 win over Syracuse, tying his own program record with 10 points on four goals and six assists. He also sent his defender into another area code.

For his incredible performance, Kavanagh is the USA Lacrosse Magazine Division I Men’s Player of the Week.

The Irish will need another big performance from Kavanagh this weekend. Given the murky nature of the bubble and Selection Sunday right around the corner, many believe Notre Dame must beat Duke to bolster its chances of making the NCAA tournament.
